Summary

This project presented a unique challenge, with limited space and changing elevations surrounding a newly installed pool. Rather than working against the natural contours of the site, the design embraced them, shaping the landscape into three distinct outdoor rooms, each set at its own elevation and serving a specific purpose. Intimate garden seating areas were created for quiet moments, a sunlit space was designed for lounging and drying off poolside, and a larger patio beneath a pergola provides a welcoming setting for entertaining. To complement the homeowners’ passion for gardening, layered planting beds were integrated throughout, adding softness, colour, and a personal connection to the space.

"Tyson and his crew helped us create our dream property. At the onset, he listened to our loves, passions and priorities. They include our animals, gardens, nature and beauty. The design needed to incorporate all the above and feel like a country estate. The newness of the build needed to feel like it had always been part of the property. Tyson, even used top quality soil products, which helped my plants thrive. He’s been excellent at responding to any issues that come along, especially since we are in the Cowichan Valley. Brickworks did not ‘nickel and dime’ us! And there were no ‘surprise’ costs. Fast forward to now, they even replaced a new improved sand product with better quality- at no charge to us. The crew were very respectful to my property, kept gates shut and nice to my dogs. We are already planning our next project together! I can't say enough good things about Tyson, Ange and Brickworks. Thank you all so much for helping to make our dream come true. Highly recommend!"
